Product Reviews

This section features relevant product reviews. These are not comprehensive but represent my impressions as I consider how these products might help a high-tech marketer. I may also include reviews and comments from other marketing professionals. Categories include 1) software, 2) hardware, 3) videos, 4) books, and 5) seminars.

This section will not contain comprehensive competitive reviews (often comparing 20 or so products (which could take months)). As such, these reviews might be compared to “first look” reviews, rather than feature-by-feature comparisons.

How Reviews are Selected

Potential products will go through a screening process. If a product looks applicable, it will be placed on a schedule to go through the review process. If the product does not look applicable, does not seem ready for prime time, or would not be the type of product I might use myself as a high-tech marketing professional, then the review process will halt, the vendor will be notified, and a review will not be posted. As a result, the only reviews that show up will be generally positive. I’ve also created a rating system, but it is highly subjective since it is based on how much detail I was able to get into during the review.

Chanimal Forum Reviews

“Services” are reviewed within the forum and are open to folks who have used the services (consulting, agencies, recruiters, etc.).

These can be initiated by the vendor, or a customer, and may be either positive or negative (specifics).  No anonymous posting is allowed (to ensure competitors don’t blast each other (it happens)). Those with negative reviews are welcome to counter (without too much personal detail–please).

Vendors who opt to start a thread and post their services are welcome to include their company name, website, and phone number, along with a brief 2-3 sentence introduction along with up to ten clients. These forum reviews may be categorized as the number of companies increases.
